One UFO out.............

I've been playing with my piece of multi-coloured fabric from the 'UFO files'.

This is how it was....

and this is how it is now......

I've been trying out the pre-programmed quilting stitches in my machine, using rayon machine embroidery threads in blue and green. It didn't really come to life until I added the orange.

I plan to make a bag with it.

The colors and stitches are very intriguing. I don't have a machine with embroidery stitches, so it just fascinates me to no end.
This will make an excellent bag.

I appreciate how you haven't gone hog wild with freemotion quilting. It would take away from the beauty of the fabric and the stitching.

Hi Sonji, thanks for coming by and commenting. I got a one-off chance to buy a new machine, so I made sure I got all the bells and whistles as well! I'm looking forward to a slow and leisurely progression through its various attributes. Just now, I really like this overstitching - embellishing like this is a good way to jazz up some of the fabrics I don't like!

Wow! Great new photo.

it's beautiful. a bag is a fantastic idea but i also imagine it as a divider built in a very nice wood.
