and square up again......................

The same technique as the previous post, but a little more preparation. This was made by weaving strips of space dyed linen, faux suede and printed polyester fabric cut with a wavy cutter and ironing them onto lightweight vilene (pellon). This was covered with a sheet of heat and bond vinyl and then cut square. It was sewn into a simple envelope shaped bag and fastened with two press studs.

A great refinement over the last one...love the way the fabric gets shiny (and is protected: very practical) but still is true to its character as fabric.

I love weaving stuff. Love it! I made a little girl's dress once, all french seams and a collar made of woven ribbons. Pretty cool.
