More embellishing

I've made this:

(click on photo for bigger image)

Its all silk, including the thread which is silk knitting yarn, needlepunched onto a piece of felted wool curtain interlining. I used three different weights of silk fabric. The lilac background piece (dress weight) is quite scrunchy, the circles feel quite soft (suiting weight) and the light coloured pieces (from a piece of very fine sari silk) feel really soft and fluffy. I like this. I can't decide whether to leave it as it is or carry on and embellish it.

This looks really good Kay. Did you base it on anything or did the design just happen? You have certainly mastered your embellisher.

i love this it's not unlike 1930´s textile prints.
about leaving things on the backburner: yes totally agree, but when there's an overdue deadline
there's a sword- dangling- over- my- head -feeling and i get into a compulsion to finish and get on with life. of course i end up in a murphy's law loophole :)
thanks for stopping by.

This is a wonderful design! And I love the texture the embellisher creates on silk.
