This is why I've been so quiet.

I was offered a table at a local Christmas Craft Fair, so I made a dozen of these:

After all my hard work, and a very disappointing day, I sold two of the first and none at all of the second!!!!!

I think the people in your community do not appreciate the fine work you do. I remember a condescending comment you heard about your padfolio some months ago. Too bad you don't have a different venue for offering your work. Maybe the Internet is the best place for you to sell it. I think these dolls are adorable!

Kay, I think everyone who creates dolls has had a similar experience at one time or another. Please dont be discouraged. Just keep on making them for the sheer joy of it they really have their own unique and sweet spirits. As Jowynn pointed out, they may just need a broader audience. Again, Etsy or EBAY may be good venues

I have had the same experience with craft stalls, people will say how much they like something but then expect to pay the same price as they would for something mass produced in a sweat shop. I now stitch mainly for my own satisfaction and enjoyment. I agree that selling over the internet may be best.
