Flower Power!

I'm taking part in Sharon B's Stitch Explorer Challenge. Find out all about it here. This month's challenge is Casal Guidi work.

I had this in my hand, ready to embellish - so what else could I do with it??

I was still under the influence of
Connie Jones!. Connie, thanks for the tip of using a piece of felt under the stem stitch - I adapted your method by needlefelting some roving where I wanted the stem and the petals. Lessons learned: use a colour you can see against the roving for the foundation satin stitch - change to a blunt ended tapestry needle for the raised stem!
