March 8th is International Womens' Day. There's a Post a Photo challenge on Stitchin' Fingers to show something made in the suffragette colours of purple (for dignity), white (for purity) and green (for hope).

I have printed her, and am gathering. I can see I will have trouble with the small buttons - the large one will be fine. So I might substitute beads.....

I just happened upon your lovely suffragette pin on pinterest and wanted to tell you how much I love it. Purple and green are my favorite colors and love a wacky haired woman. You have a lovely blog too. I used to do hardanger/pulled thread and x-stiching but I haven't embroidered much in years. Your little lady has inspired me. Thanks
