Simple doll for a small person

After a lot of trial and error (oh, there always is!) what was in my head finally came out at the other end, and I made this for my youngest grandson, he's six months old now and I thought he should have his own doll too.

For once, The Boss was impressed, and he thinks I should make some more and sell them on Ebay. Obviously it complies with safety regulations or I wouldn't be giving it to my grandson, although no doubt he will put it to the dribble test! It measures about 8 inches high, the body is fine poly/cotton, the head and arms are robe velour and the hair is the usual knitted 'hat'. Features are drawn in permanent marker, fabric paints and gouache mixed with fabric medium, all cured and heat set. Whaddya think?

This is so cute. What a good idea to make a small doll for a baby boy! I guess he'll love it. My small grandson is always stealing his big sisters cloth dolls!

Kay, he's adorable! And selling your creations on EBAY or maybe opening your own Etsy shop would be a great idea!

I'd vote for Etsy to begin...that is all handmade stuff there, so the very market you want would be most likely to see them.

They are really, really adorable. I wish I had younger grandkids; I'd order some.

He is adorable. I know they would sell. My only concern though is are the paints safe as you know how small ones love putting everything in their mouths.

He's as adorable as your grandbaby must surely be! I agree with Dy's comment completely. Your dolls are so expressive. You have a wonderful way with eyes, especially.
Here's an item of interest for dollmakers

Ah yes. So cute. I think they would sell, too. You know, personalization is the latest marketing craze, so you could emblazen them with the child's name after being ordered (for a small fee of course). I must say that all your creations make the tedium of everyday tasks such a pleasure. That's how it should be.
